Exhibition Description
10 Artists incorporate fibre into diverse artworks. Featuring miniature quilts, wearable art, toile, knitting, ceramics, glassworks, bookbinding, printmaking and sculpture installations – with an urban edge.
These new “cutting edge” pieces created for the Festival will show a cross-art link between different craft disciplines with fibre as the woven connection or bond. The Exhibition will be in studios, galleries, and the Atrium in the Case Goods Warehouse.
The Case Goods Warehouse in the Historic Distillery District in downtown Toronto is a beehive of artistic production and creative collaboration with specialized artists in established work studios. Each artist concentrates in one form of art but will be incorporating fibre into their practice in unique and innovative methods.
