With this exhibit, we entered a world where variety, innovation and a sustained vision had the upper hand. Featuring the work of 20 artists from very different aesthetic and cultural traditions. Solo Shows was the festival's largest exhibit.

Aliza Thomas: Closing space with grace, 82 cm x 72 cm. the flower paper used in this costume has a strong textile impression even though it is considered paper. The inside parts of the costume are made of dyed padded paper.

art is timeless, Solo Show, World of Threads Festival 2018. Mixed Media Digital Fiber- Lutrador, interfacing, digital photograph and printing, paint, and satin varnish
Technique- Melding photographs creates the final photograph, printed both on an interfacing and inkjet ready lutrador. Lutrador was sliced, overlaid, and stitched. Edges are painted and top is sealed with satin varnish.

Digital Fiber -ink jet treated digital canvas, dyed pearl cotton, UV medium and paint. Technique- A creative aspect of digital photography is creating an image using the 21st century tool, Photoshop, programs or applications.
Several photographs are fused digitally and printed. The fiber photograph was mounted onto free sections and quilted with colored threads for design emphasis and hand-tied. Edges and top are sealed.

Wen Redmond: A Page in a Life, art is timeless, Solo Show, World of Threads Festival 2018. Digital Fiber- inkjet ready cotton canvas, pearl cotton medium and paint.
Techniques: A photograph of a journal page is printed on digital ready cotton canvas. The digital fiber photograph is creatively stitched and cut onto free segments. These are hand-tied using dyed pearl cotton. Edges and top are sealed with medium and paint. Stitching used as drawing lines.
