2018 Exhibition: Artwork

With this exhibit, we entered a world where variety, innovation and a sustained vision had the upper hand. Featuring the work of 20 artists from very different aesthetic and cultural traditions. Solo Shows was the festival's largest exhibit.

Mixed Media Digital Fiber- Lutrador, interfacing, digital photograph and printing, paint, and satin varnish Technique- Melding photographs creates the final photograph, printed both on an interfacing and inkjet ready lutrador. Lutrador was sliced, overlaid, and stitched. Edges are painted and top is sealed with satin varnish.
Wen Redmond: The Content of the Light, art is timeless, Solo Show, World of Threads Festival 2018. Technique- A creative aspect of digital photography is creating an image using the 21st century tool, Photoshop, programs or applications. Several photographs are fused digitally and printed. The fiber photograph was mounted onto free sections and quilted with colored threads for design emphasis and hand-tied. Edges and top are sealed.
