Exhibition Description

Artist karen darricades will be taking her sewing machine into Studio Cycle Group’s motorcycle shop, to create a life-size anatomically correct motorcycle constructed from repurposed silks and women’s blouses.

This 7-week residency is an opportunity for her to facilitate a mingling of biker culture and fashion design. The project will engage both groups in discussions around the allure of shiny things, customization and tailoring, DIY culture and how it relates to mixed-media and Chopper-building.
